Applications for Indonesia are due July 10, 2015
Applications for Morocco are due Sept. 15, 2015
The America’s Unofficial Ambassadors Semester of Service program is a competitive study abroad program that offers students from all over the United States the chance to earn a full semester of academic credit while studying at a leading university in Indonesia or Morocco and interning with a school or grassroots organization. In Indonesia, students earn 15 credits from Gadjah Mada University while studying Bahasa and two humanities classes and for interning 20-25 hours a week with a school or non-governmental organization. In Morocco, students earn 13-16 credits from Al-Akhawayn University and The College of New Jersey for studying Arabic, taking 2-3 humanities classes, and interning 10-15 hours a week with a non-governmental organization.
These are unique opportunities to have a different kind of study abroad experience and to build your professional skillset. As you immerse yourself in another culture, you will serve as an unofficial ambassador and have an impact at a grassroots level in an area like education or human rights.
